Thank you to all artists and organizers who have contributed to the success of the aRTS Rutherglen Sculpture Trail over the past 8 years. A burgeoning permanent sculpture trail of all our commissions has being developed in and around Rutherglen for the enjoyment of locals and tourists alike. Scattered in and around the local towns, businesses and wineries, its worth spending some time, on foot, bike or by car in sourcing them out. We have a new addition to the “family” located at Lake King. Its a work by Darren Smith who was our 2016 sculpture trail winner. It is a nod to the first ever regatta held 156 years ago. When we do finally get rain, the sculpture will transform to include the water of the lake.

Meanwhile, the annual sculpture trail competition has taken a well earned break this year. Watch out next year in March, 2019 when it becomes part of the “Tastes of Art” competition and exhibition.
