Another great season of films has just wound up. We try to select films that aren’t readily accessible in mainstream and which might provoke discussion, whilst being thoroughly entertaining. This year’s selection was mainly French but also Belgian and Spanish. A particular favourite was our July film: “Tour de Force”, (Une Belle Course”) a quirky tale focusing on an unlikely “hero” riding a day ahead of the Tour de France. Attendance has been good and we’ve been delighted to see our loyal regulars as well as new faces.
We’re looking forward to another year of fine films, mainly foreign, in 2024. Who would want to miss a night out with a great meal, amazingly well priced, followed by an interesting film from somewhere round the world!! It’s a winter highlight!! The Rutherglen High School restaurant, “The Vine”, is an ideal venue and the Hospitality students can develop their skills in a relaxed environment.
See you in 2024.
