
Calling All Artists! The Tastes of Art Prize Returns
Arts Rutherglen is gearing up for yet another incredible Tastes of Art Prize to be held on 6-15 March 2026 with entries closing 8 February
The Rutherglen Tastes of Art Prize is an opportunity for artists to exhibit in a well established, popular show with visitors being able to purchase varied, creative works from sections including Painting, Work on Paper, Photography, 3D and Youth.
Opening Gala Night: Friday 6th March 2026, 6.30pm
Exhibition: 7th to 15th March 2026, 10am-4pm daily
Choose from these categories to enter:
Young creatives are invited to showcase their talents across a variety of mediums – Painting, Mixed Media, Work on Paper, 3D Artworks, or Photography.
For the ages of 12 to 18 years of age.
We are very excited to announce Corowa Furnishings are generously offering FREE ARTWORK DELIVERY to our Art Show from two locations in Victoria:
Please call GV Transport (Melbourne) or Beds R Us (Mildura) to book your space BEFORE you drop off your artwork to them. And you must deliver your artworks (to GV Transport or Beds R Us) by Wednesday 18 February 2026.
Please wrap your artworks generously with bubble wrap and write clearly “To be delivered to Rutherglen Tastes of Art Prize”.
Corowa Furnishings will also deliver your artwork back to Somerton or Mildura if they are not sold at the exhibition.
Join us to toast the artists who have entered their marvellous works at the Opening Gala Night on Friday 6 March.
A very fine drop will be offered by Campbells Wines to all attendees and gourmet nibbles provided by Brooke Rasmussen, The Creative Cook and her team of hospitality students from the Rutherglen High School.
If you can’t make our Opening Night the exhibit is open daily from 7-15 March 2026, $5 entry.

Arts Rutherglen is delighted to welcome Kirrily, as our Visual Art judge for the Tastes of Art Prize 2026. Kirrily will judge sections for Paintings/Mixed Media, Work on Paper and 3D sections, as well as the Youth section.
Kirrily Anderson’s creative practice is a refined blend of art, illustration, public art & graphic design. Practicing under the name
I & the Others, Kirrily immersed herself in the street art scene in Melbourne between 2010 – 2013. During this time she curated
and co-curated a number of street art exhibitions and events both in Australia and overseas.
In 2017 she moved Melbourne to Chiltern in Victoria’s North East, and opened Paper Trail Studio. Her move to regional Victoria
has seen her win numerous prizes at Regional Art Awards. She regularly facilitates workshops and mentoring programs. In 2018
she took on the role of re-branding and co-ordinating the Chiltern Art Prize. She is represented by Manyung Gallery Group.
Arts Rutherglen is delighted to introduce photographer Natalie Ord who will judge the Photography section in the Tastes of Art Prize 2026.
Nat Ord is a multi-disciplinary artist with a background in commercial and fine art photography and has been a practising professional artist for over 15 years. Nat is an award-winning commercial and fine art photographer with her work published throughout Australia as well as internationally. She was a finalist in the National Photographic Portrait Prize in 2017 and exhibited at the World Photographic Award in London in 2012. She has exhibited in multiple group exhibitions including the Head On Photo Festival and had her first solo show at MAMA in Albury, NSW in 2018. She has a keen interest in traditional and alternative photography from making her own cameras from tins to cyanotypes and film.
Nat also works in 3D with a passion for woodwork including greenwood spoon carving as well as blacksmithing. She is often found at festivals demonstrating the traditional craft of green woodworking.
Nat teaches spoon-carving and photography workshops at her studio store Chiltern.
